GREENE LIGHT DESIGN

Greene Light Design is a multidisciplinary lighting design practice working across broadcast television, immersive environments, live events, theater, and installation-based projects. The studio approaches each project through a balance of visual storytelling, technical rigor, and practical execution, shaping environments that are both expressive and buildable.

Recent work includes lighting direction for the daytime talk show Sherri, experiential projects such as Highland Passive House Studios for Cathy Hobbs’ Design Recipes, Barbie Boardwalk Adventure at Atlantis Bahamas, and Alexa Meade’s immersive Wonderland Dreams exhibition. Across these projects, Greene Light Design guides the full arc of the work: developing the design approach, coordinating with creative and technical stakeholders, responding to site conditions, and ensuring the final environment performs for both audience experience and operational needs.

The studio’s practice is rooted in collaboration. Whether developing broadcast lighting for camera, experiential lighting for public-facing installations, or complex live-event environments, Greene Light Design works closely with designers, producers, fabricators, electricians, venue teams, and clients to translate ambitious ideas into clear, buildable plans.

Founded by Adam Greene, the practice draws on more than two decades of experience across television, theater, opera, dance, retail, and special events. Greene’s theatrical background remains central to the studio’s approach, bringing a strong sense of composition, narrative, and audience perspective to each project. His stage designs include The Actors’ Gang production of Tim Robbins’ Embedded at The Public Theater, The Angel of History at HERE Arts Center, Ian Kelly’s Beau Brummel and Cooking for Kings at 59E59 Theaters, and Bent to the Flame at SoHo Playhouse. He received the Backstage Garland Award for his lighting design of Sinan Unel’s Pera Palas at The Boston Court.

Across disciplines, Greene Light Design is grounded in the belief that strong design and strong execution are inseparable. The most memorable environments emerge when creative intent, technical detail, and project delivery are carefully aligned.

Originally from Peterborough, New Hampshire, Adam has lived and worked across the country and currently resides in the Hudson Valley, NY.
